UREA 46% N is a nitrogenous fertilizer that can either be applied as soil drench or as a foliar spray to the crops. it is rapidly converted to ammonium and nitrate forms with the help of soil bacteria which are readily available for plant uptake. it is highly soluble in water thus suitable for use in fertilizer solutions it should not however be stored near/with ammonium nitrate, when the two products get into contact, they tend to absorb moisture when the relative humidity is above 18%. urea readily absorbs moisture from the atmosphere and therefore should be stored in closed/sealed bags in a cool, dry and well ventilated area.
